I’m Natalie Yazzie, the solopreneur/owner/captain of EvolvingVA. Entrepreneur is a new title for me. In the past, I’ve been a:

As you can see, I’ve had many different “titles” but all in the realm of Administration, Operations, and Companionship.

With over 7+ years of experience in Administration, I know how long and painful some tasks can be.

My previous position was working at Claima - a small, creative agency & start-up that aimed to tell the stories of Black & Brown entrepreneurs and creatives (Check out the Claima Stories Podcast with Bimma! ).

We worked to make a more equitable society; this showed within the business by offering: unlimited PTO, work from anywhere, full healthcare, given a home office set up, all paid work trips, so many other things, and having a small diverse team of people who were hard working, smart, understanding, uplifting & real.

After experiencing that and seeing a new way of working, I knew that I couldn't just do any 9-5 again. I couldn't see myself going back to corporate or being a full time member of someone else's start-up again.

Claima inspired me. I heard so many stories and met many of these amazing creatives and entrepreneurs. I knew in my heart that my next step in my career was becoming my own boss and pursuing my own path.

Life to me is about working to live, not living to work.

I am a virtual assistant: to build a life I love, to have more freedom, to create a business that aligns with my personal values, to provide opportunities to others, and to be able to help those around me by making lives better whether it's by tedious data entry, planning your podcast recording schedule, or managing your community.
